What appeared to be an issue that was past history, has popped up once again and it is causing a whole lot of discourse. Matvei Michkov’s ice time and lack of it is once again a topic of conversation, but…

Philadelphia Flyers winger Matvei Michkov has publicly voiced his desire for increased ice time following recent frustration over his usage. Speaking to reporters after practice on Saturday ahead of a road game against the Calgary Flames, the 21-year-old addressed questions regarding his comfort and conditioning by stating that he wants maximum minutes and to be on the ice as much as possible.
Michkov's comments followed Thursday's game against the New York Rangers, where he logged 15:56 of ice time and was not utilized in key scoring situations late in the contest. Despite being among the league's top goal scorers, Michkov expressed frustration with the team sitting last in the NHL standings, reiterating his focus on winning, scoring, and playing more.
