PhHN Daily: Flyers Trade Rumors; Kucherov Wants Out, Lightning Say Not So Fast

Elliotte Friedman reported that Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov has requested a trade ahead of the deadline, as he enters the final year of his contract. The Lightning acknowledged the request but stated they currently have no intention of trading him. Kucherov's agent, Dan Milstein, confirmed the star will continue playing for Tampa Bay while the situation unfolds.

Meanwhile, William James notes that the Philadelphia Flyers may prioritize upgrading their defensive core mid-season through the trade market rather than pursuing a center. Additionally, the San Jose Sharks reportedly made a serious offer for defenseman Simon Edvinsson that was declined, while the New Jersey Devils secured a 5-2 victory against the Vegas Golden Knights.
