Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen is expected to miss approximately two weeks after suffering an upper-body injury against Anaheim on Saturday. The setback occurred in Ristolainen's first game back following a nine-game absence that kept him sidelined since October 3. Head coach Rick Tocchet explained that the defenseman re-aggravated the injury in an awkward spot during the contest.
With Ristolainen sidelined, the Flyers are relying on rookie Oliver Bonk alongside Travis Sanheim on the top pairing. Meanwhile, defenseman Cam York practiced on a fourth pairing on Monday, with Tocchet noting that York's return to the lineup depends on the player's pain tolerance and personal readiness.
