Philadelphia Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet admitted he has "no idea" why his team has opened the season with two poor performances. Tocchet stated that the coaching staff plans to adjust practice sessions to prioritize skill work after noting the team looked choppy with the puck. Players Christian Dvorak and Travis Sanheim expressed frustration with the execution and suggested the team must simplify its approach and return to strengths like the forecheck, while Ryan Gilbert questioned whether system changes are causing growing pains.
