One of the biggest differences in Tuesday night’s 3-2 shootout loss to Seattle for Philadelphia was seeing the defense jump up in the rush. Oliver Bonk, paired with Travis Sanheim on the first pairing, was a force to be reckoned…

Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet humorously noted after Wednesday's practice that his defensemen are "too horny" when joining offensive rushes. Tocchet explained that Philadelphia's blue liners have been rushing into the offensive zone too quickly rather than practicing patience to generate quality scoring opportunities.
The comments followed Philadelphia's 3-2 shootout loss to the Seattle Kraken, where defenseman Oliver Bonk joined the rush to set up a Christian Dvorak goal. Tocchet emphasized that defensemen need to slow down their skating and delay their timing to avoid blocked shots and create Grade A chances.
