This year’s iteration of the Philadelphia Flyers has a knack of discovering new and exciting ways to lose games. They’ve gotten blown out 7-0, battle back after being down 3-1 only to lose in a shootout, and they’ve even played…

The Philadelphia Flyers surrendered a 2-1 third-period lead to fall 3-2 against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. After conceding an opening goal to J.T. Miller, Philadelphia responded with second-period goals from Simon Benoit and Noel Acciari. However, New York rallied late in regulation, scoring twice within two minutes to secure the victory.
Pavel Dorofeyev leveled the contest on a power play at 13:52 of the final period before Tye Kartye netted the game-winner at 15:21. Broad Street Hockey's Ryan Quigley criticized Philadelphia's late-game defensive breakdown on Kartye's decisive goal, highlighting that the Flyers failed to capitalize on rare offensive contributions from Benoit and Acciari.
