It might be good news for Ben Kindel and the Pittsburgh Penguins, or at least far from the worst-case scenario, […]

Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas announced that center Ben Kindel suffered a vasovagal episode after collapsing on the team plane on Tuesday. Team doctor Dr. Vyas administered oxygen quickly, and Kindel regained consciousness before being evaluated at the University of Utah Medical Center. Kindel has returned to Pittsburgh and could get back on the ice as early as Sunday.
Kindel was placed on injured reserve alongside winger Bryan Rust, while Rutger McGroarty and Chase Pietila were recalled. Dubas noted that Kindel will undergo increased testing and follow strict guidelines before returning to practice and game action.
