Panthers forward Brad Marchand, who injured his left leg in Tuesday's win over the Kings, will miss only "a few weeks," The Associated Press reported.

Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand is expected to miss only a few weeks following a left leg injury suffered against the Los Angeles Kings. Marchand was injured late in Tuesday's 2-1 win after colliding with the goal post following a high stick from Brandt Clarke. Teammates Brady Tkachuk and Niko Mikkola helped Marchand off the ice as he was unable to place weight on his leg.
The update comes shortly after center Aleksander Barkov also suffered a left leg injury against the San Jose Sharks. Panthers coach Paul Maurice confirmed Barkov will not need surgery and is projected to return within six to eight weeks, providing relief for Florida after both avoided season-ending damage.
