Robby Fabbri Signs PTO With AHL Hamilton

The Hamilton Hammers, the American Hockey League affiliate of the New York Islanders, have signed veteran forward Robby Fabbri to a 25-game professional tryout agreement. Under the terms of the PTO, the contract can be terminated at any time, or the team can convert it into a standard contract if he earns a spot. Additionally, the Hammers announced the signing of 24-year-old forward Antonio Stranges to a PTO.

The 30-year-old Fabbri last played in the NHL during the 2025-26 season with the Minnesota Wild after being claimed off waivers from the St. Louis Blues. A former 2014 first-round draft pick and 2019 Stanley Cup champion with St. Louis, Fabbri previously posted 18 goals in his rookie campaign before facing significant time off due to multiple knee injuries.
