Annie Moore writes for Fear the Fin that a Tuesday loss to the Boston Bruins served as a wake-up call for the San Jose Sharks, exposing defensive breakdowns and costly mistakes. The defeat marked San Jose's second consecutive loss as the team prepares to embark on a demanding six-game road trip away from home.
Fraser Minten scored twice for Boston, while Charlie McAvoy added a goal in his season debut. For the Sharks, Macklin Celebrini recorded a goal and an assist, and rookie Ivar Stenberg scored his first career NHL goal on the power play. Head coach Ryan Warsofsky noted that despite creating more offense, the team must eliminate critical errors after conceding five goals.
