On a Haloween-themed night, Seattle went back and forth in a game that the Kraken never trailed, but provided little comfort to its fans as they endured yet another stressful third period at home where they blow a third-period lead…

The Seattle Kraken defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-4 at Climate Pledge Arena after Brandon Montour scored a dramatic game-winning goal with just 32.7 seconds remaining in regulation. Seattle entered the third period holding a 4-2 lead behind goals from Berkly Catton, Josh Mahura, Chandler Stephenson, and Ryker Evans. However, Toronto mounted a late comeback with goals from Jack Roslovic and Auston Matthews, who tied the game with 1:30 left.
Following the equalizer, Seattle secured the victory when Matty Beniers won an offensive faceoff to set up Montour's long-range blast. Philipp Grubauer started in goal for Seattle, which finished its homestand with a 3-1 record and improved to 8-4-1 on the season under head coach Lane Lambert. The Kraken next visit the Calgary Flames on Friday.
