The St. Louis Blues have reassigned 21-year-old defenseman Quinton Burns to their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds. The move was made following the Blues' 5-4 comeback victory over the Detroit Red Wings. Burns did not appear in any regular-season NHL games during his recent call-up and has yet to make his official NHL debut.
Burns was selected by St. Louis in the third round of the 2023 NHL draft and has recorded one assist in seven AHL games this season. Prior to the game, the Blues also recalled defenseman Theo Lindstein to step in for the injured Colton Parayko.
