Tynan Lawrence’s Strong NCAA Start Makes Blues Pick Look Like An Early NHL Draft Selection Hit

St. Louis Blues prospect Tynan Lawrence has made an impressive start to his NCAA season, tallying seven goals and ten points across his first eight games. Selected 11th overall in the 2026 NHL draft, Lawrence had previously seen his draft stock fall following an injury-delayed freshman campaign. The Hockey News reports that his early collegiate resurgence is making the draft selection look like major value for St. Louis.

Lawrence has demonstrated notable progress in his shooting, puck control, and offensive transition play while maintaining strong defensive awareness. Ranked as the top prospect in the Blues organization by the publication, the 18-year-old center is expected to earn a prominent role at the upcoming World Junior Championship.
