Hall of Famer and Canadian women's hockey great opens up about life on and off the ice in her new book, Just a Girl: A Memoir.

Former Canadian national women's hockey captain Cassie Campbell-Pascall has released a vulnerable new memoir, titled "Just a Girl: A Memoir." Written with sports journalist Sean Fitz-Gerald, the book details the hidden struggles of her life and decorated hockey career, including concussions, post-Olympic depression, body aches, and private fertility challenges. Campbell-Pascall stated that she wanted the memoir to reflect genuine personal adversity rather than presenting an image of perfection.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist also recounts her historic broadcasting career, which included becoming the first woman to perform color commentary on Hockey Night in Canada alongside Bob Cole. The memoir covers the establishment of the PWHL alongside Jayna Hefford, early pushback faced by female hockey players, and Campbell-Pascall's pledge to donate her brain to scientific research.
