How new Leafs Gavin McKenna and Jack Roslovic clicked against Ottawa

Rookie Gavin McKenna and forward Jack Roslovic earned their first preseason points for the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday in a 6-1 split-squad victory against the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Arena. McKenna drew a hooking penalty that led directly to Roslovic scoring on the ensuing power play, in addition to McKenna registering an assist on a goal scored by John Tavares.

Maple Leafs head coach Jim Hiller praised the 18-year-old McKenna's growth and speed following an earlier 4-1 exhibition loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Tavares also highlighted McKenna's puck dominance and quickness, while forward Nick Paul left the contest in the second period due to an undisclosed issue.
