The Toronto Maple Leafs may already be regretting their trade of Fraser Minten after what he has blossomed into with the Boston Bruins…

Editor In Leaf's Edward Eng argues that the Toronto Maple Leafs made a major mistake trading forward Fraser Minten to the Boston Bruins. Toronto dealt Minten alongside conditional first- and fourth-round picks at the 2025 trade deadline for defenseman Brandon Carlo, who played only 75 games for the Leafs before being traded away for two third-round picks.
Meanwhile, the writer highlights that Minten has flourished in Boston, recording 35 points in 2025-26 and adding 10 points in his first 12 games of 2026-27. Eng contends Minten would have provided crucial center depth for Toronto, especially with John Tavares injured.
