The Utah Mammoth were left to lament their third-period performance Sunday night. The New Jersey Devils had a lot more to regret about their game Saturday.
The Utah Mammoth and New Jersey Devils will face each other on Tuesday night in Newark, New Jersey, with both teams looking to recover from disappointing weekend losses. Utah fell 4-2 to the New York Rangers on Sunday after conceding three third-period goals, while New Jersey suffered a 6-0 shutout against the New York Islanders on Saturday.
Utah opened the season with two wins before Sunday's defeat, led by strong starts from Nick Schmaltz and Dylan Guenther. New Jersey coach Sheldon Keefe criticized his team's performance following their blowout loss, which dropped the Devils to 1-1-0 on the year.
