The Utah Mammoth have recalled defenseman Artem Duda from the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners while placing forward Michael Carcone on injured reserve. Carcone has been sidelined with an upper-body injury since October 8, carrying a week-to-week recovery timeline after scoring two points in five games.
Duda, selected 36th overall in the 2022 NHL Draft, has recorded 45 points across 103 career AHL games. Although defenseman John Marino is also managing an upper-body injury, the team is expected to rely on existing depth rather than hand Duda his NHL debut.
