3 Canucks Stars of the Week: Elias Pettersson(s) shines despite early-season losing streak

CanucksArmy selected defenceman Elias Pettersson, forward Jake DeBrusk, and forward Elias Pettersson as the Vancouver Canucks' three stars of the week despite a four-game losing streak. Vancouver suffered three straight defeats on an East Coast road trip against Metropolitan Division opponents. The site views the performances as encouraging rebuilding signs amid defensive lapses and difficult goaltending.

Defenceman Elias Pettersson stood out with physical play and a shorthanded goal against the New York Rangers. Jake DeBrusk posted four points across the week after returning from illness, scoring two goals against the Carolina Hurricanes. Meanwhile, forward Elias Pettersson recorded eight points through seven games and ranked second in the NHL with 26 hits.
