The B.C. Lions can secure second place in the CFL's West Division and clinch a home playoff semifinal date as early as Friday. A loss by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers against the Edmonton Elks on Friday would guarantee the spot for B.C., while a Lions victory over the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday would also seal second place regardless of other results.
B.C. has won nine of its last 10 games, most recently defeating the Ottawa Redblacks 41-20. The Lions also remain mathematically alive for first place in the West Division, holding the tiebreaker over Edmonton if they finish level on points.
