Canucks forward Braeden Cootes has scored his first-career AHL goal against the Calgary Wranglers.

Vancouver Canucks prospect Braeden Cootes scored his first-career AHL goal for the Abbotsford Canucks against the Calgary Wranglers. The goal arrived at the 16:16 mark of the third period during his second official AHL appearance, though the Wranglers secured a 4-2 victory. Cootes played on a line alongside Ben Berard and Bennett Schimek.
Drafted 15th overall by Vancouver in 2025, Cootes spent the prior season in the WHL before joining the Canucks for the 2026-27 preseason. After recording three points in three exhibition games, he was reassigned to Abbotsford ahead of the campaign.
