The Canucks fell behind early, chased the game, lost structure and defensive coverage down low, to learn another bitter lesson…

The Vancouver Canucks suffered a 6-2 defeat against the Winnipeg Jets, establishing the worst 18-game start in franchise history with a 3-14-1 record. Winnipeg seized early momentum after Alex Iafallo scored on a power play and Cole Koepke added another goal just 14 seconds later. Mark Scheifele also scored for the Jets, while Kyle Connor contributed two assists to secure Winnipeg's victory.
Liam Ohgren and Brock Boeser scored for Vancouver, but head coach Manny Malhotra criticized the Canucks' lack of effort, execution, and poor penalties. The defeat marks Vancouver's seventh consecutive loss in Winnipeg, leaving the rebuilding team with 14 losses in their first 18 games of the season.
