The Golden Knights scored three times in the third period, but failed to complete a comeback, losing to the Anaheim Ducks on Friday at T-Mobile Arena.

The Vegas Golden Knights mounted a late third-period rally but fell short in a 4-3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Friday at T-Mobile Arena. Anaheim built a 4-0 advantage behind goals from Beckett Sennecke, Alex Killorn, Jeff Malott, and Leo Carlsson. Vegas responded with third-period goals from Shea Theodore, Tomas Hertl, and Braeden Bowman, but the comeback bid ran out of time.
Carlsson recorded a goal and an assist in his first game since signing a massive contract extension, while Anaheim goaltender Lukas Dostal stopped 26 shots. Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart made 16 saves in the defeat, and Jack Eichel added two assists for Vegas, dropping the Golden Knights to 1-1-0 on the season under new coach Ryan Craig.
