The Golden Knights scored twice on the power play, including Mitch Marner's overtime winner, to defeat the Kings 2-1 and become the NHL's first team to reach 10 points.

The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Los Angeles Kings 2-1 in overtime at T-Mobile Arena, propelled by two power-play goals. Mitch Marner scored the game-winner 2:40 into overtime, just nine seconds into a man advantage, making Vegas the first NHL team to reach 10 points this season. Rookie Trevor Connelly also scored his first career power-play goal in the second period, assisted by Mark Stone and Marner.
Los Angeles tied the game in the second period with a power-play goal from Artem Panarin, but Vegas converted two of their three man-advantage opportunities. The victory improved the Golden Knights' season power-play conversion rate to 30.4 percent.
