Things aren’t exactly golden right now for the Vegas Golden Knights. For the first time this season, they’ve dropped two in a row; to make matters worse, tonight’s loss to the St. Louis Blues was their second consecutive 6-2 loss.

The Vegas Golden Knights suffered their second consecutive 6-2 blowout loss, falling to the St. Louis Blues on October 23, 2026. Head coach Ryan Craig and center Jack Eichel criticized the team's self-inflicted mistakes, turnovers, and sloppy play. The Golden Knights have now been outscored 12-4 across their last two contests after outscoring opponents 42-24 through their first 10 games.
With Mitch Marner absent due to a family matter, Alex Holtz made his season debut on the second line and registered an assist on Brett Howden's goal. Special teams proved costly again, as St. Louis converted both power-play opportunities, worsening Vegas's penalty kill to 29th in the NHL.
