Larkin was introduced alongside Detroit's scratched players ahead of the season opener against the New York Rangers. The reaction followed an offseason trade request by Larkin, who offered a brief wave to the crowd before immediately heading down the tunnel to the locker room.
Larkin remains on the Detroit roster while working his way back from an upper-body injury. Although initial reports suggested he would only accept a trade to three franchises, recent reporting indicates he has expanded his list to eight teams.
