Washington Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson is day-to-day with a leg injury, while forward Jonny Brodzinski was assigned to the AHL. Thompson suffered the injury during Tuesday's loss to the Los Angeles Kings and will not skate at Wednesday's practice. With Thompson sidelined, Charlie Lindgren serves as Washington's sole healthy NHL goaltender.
Washington does not play until Saturday, giving Thompson time to recover, though Mitchell Gibson could be recalled if needed. Brodzinski's reassignment to the Hershey Bears suggests that forward Pierre-Luc Dubois may soon return from a five-game illness absence.
