Washington came out strong Tuesday night against the Dallas Stars and proved the Capitals can jump in and control a game from the start.

The Washington Capitals fell 6-5 to the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night despite establishing early offensive momentum and outshooting Dallas 25-22. Washington head coach Spencer Carbery praised the team's scripted start and structural execution, though Dallas capitalized early with a Joel Kiviranta goal and a rapid second-period hat trick by Jason Robertson.
After falling behind 4-0, Washington mounted a comeback with goals from Jordan Kyrou, Boone Jenner, and Jakob Chychrun to challenge goaltender Jake Oettinger. While Carbery emphasized that the Capitals do not accept moral victories without gaining points, the team took encouragement from improved offensive-zone pressure compared to Sunday's loss to Minnesota.
