No Ovechkin: Capitals reveal roster for preseason game against Flyers in Hershey

The Washington Capitals announced their roster for a preseason contest against the Philadelphia Flyers at Hershey's Giant Center on September 21, 2026. Captain Alex Ovechkin will not play or travel with the team due to a lower-body injury. The exhibition marks the second straight year Washington has scheduled a preseason matchup in Hershey.
