The Story in 60 Seconds

Washington Capitals coach Spencer Carbery has found early success by uniting Alex Tuch, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Tom Wilson on a dominant 5-on-5 line. Over the team's 2-1 start to the season, the trio combined for 11 points in three games and logged a cumulative plus-10 rating. In Wednesday's home-opening win against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the unit generated three goals, posted a 71.89 expected goals-for percentage, and held Sidney Crosby scoreless at minus-4.

The line's effectiveness stems from heavy forechecking, puck control, and significant size, as all three forwards stand 6-foot-4. Wilson and Dubois are currently tied for the team lead with four points each, while Tuch joined Washington on an eight-year deal this summer.
