Bauer ‘better and better every year’

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Tyrel Bauer is set to make the team's 23-player opening-day roster. The 2020 sixth-round draft pick is entering his fifth professional season and has broken camp with the NHL club for the first time in his career. Bauer aims to demonstrate his overall playing ability alongside his established physical presence on the ice.

Bauer's inclusion provides physical toughness following the trade deadline departures of Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn last March. During training camp, Bauer was paired on defense with offseason free-agent signing Mario Ferraro.
