A potential return of Connor Hellebuyck to the Winnipeg Jets could get "ugly," as one notable insider cautions.

NHL Network insider David Pagnotta warned that a potential return by Connor Hellebuyck to the Winnipeg Jets could create an awkward and ugly dynamic in the locker room. Pagnotta reported that the netminder has been debating with his inner circle about returning if a trade cannot be expedited soon, especially as his holdout causes him to miss paychecks.
Winnipeg has reportedly not lowered its trade asking price for Hellebuyck, with general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff under little pressure thanks to a strong start to the season. The Jets appear willing to wait until an injury-hit contender agrees to meet their valuation.
