Three teams stand out as the frontrunners in a Connor Hellebuyck trade, with two others hanging around in the fringes.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has identified the Buffalo Sabres, New York Rangers, and Utah Mammoth as key teams in a potential trade for Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. Speaking on the 32 Thoughts Podcast, Friedman highlighted Buffalo as a primary suitor willing to acquire Hellebuyck, while noting that the Rangers could ignite a cascading goalie market following an injury to Igor Shesterkin.
According to the report, a potential Rangers move for Utah goaltender Karel Vejmelka could prompt Utah GM Bill Armstrong to target a permanent trade for Hellebuyck. Meanwhile, Friedman cited the Carolina Hurricanes and Los Angeles Kings as lingering long-shot contenders in the trade sweepstakes.
