Cole Perfetti’s scoring surge and a gritty team effort propelled Winnipeg past a depleted Wild squad, reclaiming the division lead behind a dominant offensive display at home.

The Winnipeg Jets defeated the rival Minnesota Wild 5-2 at Canada Life Centre on Tuesday night to move back atop the Central Division with a 4-1-1 record. Cole Perfetti led the offense with two goals, while Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor, and Cole Koepke also scored for Winnipeg in the victory.
Kirill Kaprizov scored twice for Minnesota, but goaltender Calvin Pickard allowed five goals on 25 shots. Neal Pionk provided two assists stepping in for the injured Josh Morrissey, while Jets goaltender Stuart Skinner stopped 19 of 21 shots to secure the win.
