The National Hockey League announced that the Winnipeg Jets' statistical history now officially includes both iterations of the franchise. The consolidated record encompasses the original Winnipeg stint from 1979 to 1996, the team's era as the Atlanta Thrashers from 1999 to 2011, and the current tenure in Winnipeg from 2011 onward.
With this change, forward Mark Scheifele continues pursuing historical milestones set by Dale Hawerchuk. Although Scheifele previously led the relocated franchise in goals and points, the consolidation presents new opportunities for him to surpass Hawerchuk's combined organizational marks during the 2026-27 NHL season.
