Slotted into the second line, the veteran winger battles to reclaim his roster spot while chasing a career milestone against a familiar foe in the Minnesota Wild.

The Winnipeg Jets will return veteran forward Nino Niederreiter to their lineup on Tuesday against the Minnesota Wild. The 34-year-old winger was previously a healthy scratch for three of the team's opening five games, having appeared in only two. He is slated to skate on Winnipeg's second line alongside Gabe Vilardi and Viggo Björck as the team seeks to rebound from a 5-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks.
Tuesday's contest marks a milestone opportunity for Niederreiter, who enters the game just one point shy of 500 for his NHL career. In 20 career matchups against Minnesota, he has registered 13 points, including eight goals and five assists.
