Scott Arniel provided the update to begin his media availability following practice.

Winnipeg Jets head coach Scott Arniel announced following practice on November 7, 2026, that defenseman Elias Salomonsson will be away from the team indefinitely to handle personal matters. Arniel confirmed there is currently no timetable for the blueliner's return and requested that the player's privacy be respected during this period.
The roster absence comes as the Jets are otherwise nearing full health, with defenseman Josh Morrissey seemingly approaching a return from injured reserve. The team has not disclosed further details regarding Salomonsson's absence.
