The Winnipeg Jets have recalled forward Brayden Yager from the AHL's Manitoba Moose following an impressive start to his season. The 2023 first-round draft pick earned the promotion after recording five goals and nine points in six AHL games, culminating in a game-winning goal on Sunday. Yager joined Jets practice on Monday, participating with the special teams units.
Jets head coach Scott Arniel indicated that while Yager's status for the upcoming game against the St. Louis Blues remains undecided, the young forward will not sit out for an extended stretch. The Jets are seeking secondary scoring to bolster their lineup, while also managing broader roster movements, including placing forward Walker Duehr on waivers.
