Star fullback Kalyn Ponga is set to make a rapid return from a fractured arm for New Zealand in the Rugby League World Cup semi-finals. Ponga underwent surgery after sustaining the injury against Australia just 17 days earlier, but reports indicate he is in line to reclaim the fullback jersey from Keano Kini.
Meanwhile, the Kiwis will lose winger Ronaldo Mulitalo to suspension for a high tackle, with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad expected to step in. For Australia, Kangaroos coach Kevin Walters confirmed that strike center Latrell Mitchell will be utilized in their semi-final clash in Sydney after sitting out recent matches.
