The Roosters will be on the lookout for two new wingers after fan favourite Daniel Tupou announced his retirement.
Sydney Roosters veteran Daniel Tupou has announced his retirement from rugby league following his team's NRL grand final victory over Newcastle. Tupou concluded his 15-season career with his 307th appearance in the decider, claiming a fourth premiership with the club. He retires as the greatest try-scorer in Roosters history, finishing his career with a club-record total of 198 tries after debuting in 2012.
Tupou expressed gratitude for his one-club career, while head coach Trent Robinson praised him as an aerial specialist and one of the club's greatest ever players. Following Tupou's retirement and Mark Nawaqanitawase's switch back to rugby union, the Roosters will need two new starting wingers for next season, with Manly veteran Reuben Garrick set to join the side.
