Former Super League coach and London Broncos chief executive Tony Rea has been appointed as the new CEO of NRL expansion side Perth Bears. The 60-year-old brings over 30 years of rugby league experience across both hemispheres to the Australian competition's 18th franchise. Rea succeeds Anthony De Ceglie, who stepped down from his post last month.
Perth officially became the NRL's newest club on November 1. Rea previously served as CEO and had two separate coaching stints with London Broncos between 2001 and 2014. He joins an organization whose squad is being assembled under the guidance of Mal Meninga.
