Manly has tabled Tom Trbojevic - and his potential fullback successor - a two-year deal to ensure he finishes his career where it started.
The Manly Sea Eagles have offered fullback Tom Trbojevic a two-year contract extension worth approximately $1.75 million to keep the Kangaroos international as a one-club player. The club has also offered a two-year extension to young fullback Lehi Hopoate and is actively negotiating to retain Caleb Navale. Trbojevic is among 11 Australian players who entered free agency on November 1 while competing in the World Cup.
Meanwhile, the NRL confirmed Canberra forward Hudson Young's notional market value under the salary cap stands at $1 million. Consequently, the PNG Chiefs must increase their initial $900,000 offer if they wish to sign the back-rower. Raiders coach Ricky Stuart and chief executive Don Furner indicated Canberra would consider granting Young an early release if requested to free up space for a middle forward.
