Hamming it up in front of more than 5000 devoted Samoa fans at Mt Druitt, the Eels’ new five-eighth was in his element.
Junior Paulo has defended incoming Parramatta Eels teammate Jarome Luai, calling him "misunderstood" following scrutiny over his Wests Tigers exit. Luai will join Parramatta on a one-season stint before moving to the PNG Chiefs, headlining an influx of Samoan talent under head coach Jason Ryles that also includes Spencer Leniu and Jaydn Su’A.
Leniu joins Parramatta on a four-year deal following a premiership win with the Sydney Roosters. Before commencing club duties, the contingent will represent Samoa at the Rugby League World Cup, starting their campaign against France at CommBank Stadium.
