A Brisbane Broncos prodigy already labelled ‘Benji 2.0’ has landed a new deal with the club, as he moves one step closer to his NRL debut.
The Brisbane Broncos have signed teenage prodigy Calvin Harris-Tavita to an upgraded contract keeping him with the club until at least the end of 2028. Harris-Tavita, the younger brother of Warriors playmaker Chanel Harris-Tavita, won the 2026 Peter Sterling Medal and has drawn comparisons to Benji Marshall. The versatile five-eighth will be eligible for first-grade selection when he turns 18 in March and will begin training full-time with the NRL squad after Christmas.
In other transfer news, the Dolphins have signed outside back Kain Anderson from the Canberra Raiders on a two-year contract running through the end of 2028. Anderson, the brother of NRL player Grant Anderson, joins the club's Top 30 roster following the departures of Jamayne Isaako and Jake Averillo.
