November 1 has officially arrived and with it comes the opportunity for off-contract NRL players to speak with rivals as the race for some of the game’s biggest stars heats up.
Fox Sports assessed the contract outlook for nine NRL five-eighths becoming eligible to negotiate with rival clubs on November 1. High-profile playmakers Blaize Talagi, Cameron Munster, and Matt Burton are tipped to leave their current teams. Munster rejected a two-year extension offer from the Melbourne Storm, while Canterbury Bulldogs general manager Phil Gould confirmed Burton was granted permission to test the open market.
Fox Sports also projected departures for Jayden Sullivan, Luke Brooks, and Lyhkan King-Togia from their respective clubs. Conversely, Latu Fainu is expected to remain with the Wests Tigers, while Te Maire Martin and Trent Toelau are tipped to stay with the New Zealand Warriors and Melbourne Storm.
