Former Australian international winger Josh Addo-Carr faces a potential major NRL suspension and possible contract termination after reportedly testing positive for cocaine. The alleged incident occurred during a random roadside test in Newton, Sydney, in September. The 31-year-old is awaiting formal notification of his B-test sample, with no official penalties yet handed down by the NRL or his club, the Parramatta Eels.
Should the B-sample confirm the result, Addo-Carr could receive a three-month, 12-match ban. Although he remains contracted to Parramatta for 2027, the club could opt to release him early. The winger previously recorded a positive test in September 2024 and is currently in a rehabilitation facility.
