The Cowboys have confirmed their staff for 2027.

The North Queensland Cowboys have officially promoted former forward Mitchell Dunn to the position of NRL assistant coach for the 2027 season. Dunn, who played 58 matches for the club from 2018 to 2023 before injury forced his retirement, previously served as an elite pathways head coach and game development coach within the organization. He will join head coach Todd Payten's staff alongside Blake Green, Steve Sheppard, and Jordan McLean.
The appointment forms part of a broader restructuring of the Cowboys' football department. Paul Bowman has transitioned to general manager of elite player development, allowing Pat Kenny to return as head of performance. Club CEO Micheal Luck confirmed the staff appointments ahead of the squad's upcoming pre-season training, emphasizing the club's dedication to developing internal talent following their recent finals campaign.
