“I should be an NRL halfback”: Sexton’s big admission ahead of Perth Bears Switch

Former Canterbury Bulldogs halfback Toby Sexton has expressed his determination to re-establish himself as a top-tier NRL playmaker ahead of his move to the Perth Bears. Speaking on the Big Bears Podcast, Sexton stated that conversations with head coach Mal Meninga confirmed his desire to join the team and prove his capability as an NRL starting number seven.

Sexton previously helped end an eight-year finals drought with the Bulldogs before being displaced following Lachlan Galvin's arrival. After spending time with French club Catalans Dragons under the mentorship of former premiership winner Mitchell Pearce, Sexton noted he has regained his confidence and aims to secure the starting halfback position for Perth.
