The hooker left the Titans at the end of 2026.

The Sydney Roosters are planning to sign hooker Sam Verrills on a development contract for the 2027 NRL season. The move provides a surprise pathway for Verrills to resume his first-grade rugby league career with his former club.
Verrills recently departed the Gold Coast Titans at the conclusion of the 2026 season. Under the emerging plan, he will rejoin the Roosters setup to secure an opportunity back in the competition.
