He is set to hit the open market in two weeks time.

The Cronulla Sharks and Brisbane Broncos are preparing to pursue Penrith Panthers forward Liam Martin when he hits the open market on November 1. The 29-year-old representative second-rower is off-contract at the end of 2027 and will be eligible to negotiate rival deals for the 2028 season if Penrith cannot finalize an extension beforehand.
Martin is reportedly seeking a three-year deal worth approximately $1 million per season, an increase from his current $750,000 salary. While Martin reportedly prefers to stay at Penrith, the club faces salary cap pressure as co-captains Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo also become eligible to negotiate on November 1.
